Our first year of Scouting for Clean Waterways has proven a massive success! Demonstrating just how impactful youth-led conservation can be, #Scouts nationwide logged almost 100,000 service hours, removing more than 43,000 pounds of plastic and over 93,500 pounds of other trash. Today, we thank each and every #Scout - and their families, parents, leaders and volunteers - who helped clean up oceans and rivers, lakes and streams across the country. YOU are making a difference!   In addition, we must extend our sincere gratitude to our partners in this effort: the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Marine Debris Program and CleanHub.
