🪴 Finding purpose through service 🪴 Since retiring, Anne Lee has found meaning and connection by volunteering at North Texas Food Bank—from tending Jan’s Garden to helping sort food for neighbors facing hunger. Whether pulling weeds in Jan’s Garden or sorting produce on the production floor at North Texas Food Bank, Anne says she finds purpose in helping ensure others are nourished. And in the process, she adds, she’s being fed herself. “I was telling my friend what I do here and what I get out of here and she said, ‘It sounds like you are feeding your soul,’ and I said, ‘That’s right,’” Anne says.
