In this week’s Softball America rankings, they are now No. 1 in the nation.
The Huskers dominated Minnesota all weekend, outscoring the Gophers 32 to 4, capped by an 11-2 run-rule win on Sunday. In the weekend sweep, they had 2 run-rule wins.
The offense stayed hot, racking up 15 hits in the finale. Jesse Farrell led the way with a home run and three RBIs, while Jordy Frahm added a homer of her own and picked up the win in the circle with four scoreless innings.
And this team just keeps rolling—Nebraska improves to 36-6 overall and 17-1 in Big Ten play, sitting alone at the top of the conference standings.
It’s now 11 straight wins for the Huskers, who have taken 25 of their last 26 and own the longest active road win streak in the country at 12 games.
Next up, a midweek matchup with Omaha before their home series finale hosting Iowa over the weekend.
