Today’s girls, tomorrow’s space leaders 🙋‍♀️🚀 At Vienna Daughter’s Day, UN agencies at the Vienna International Centre came together to spark curiosity, build confidence, and show girls that STEM careers are for them, too. Girls aged 11–17 took part in hands-on activities exploring cybersecurity, nuclear science, and, of course -- space! UNOOSA joined iaeaorg, ctbto_un, unido_org and unodc_hq to support the initiative. Our Director Aarti Holla-Maini spoke with over 100 participating girls about space exploration, the Moon, and her own path into the space sector. UNOOSA also led two interactive workshops taking participants on a journey to space — from astronaut training and launch day to life in orbit and splashdown back on Earth.
