Everyone’s being told: “More surveillance = more safety.” But ask yourself… Has tracking people ever replaced real accountability? Digital ID systems don’t solve the root problem. They: • Track behaviour • Store data • Build profiles But they don’t fix actions. They don’t teach responsibility. They don’t create understanding. They don’t prevent intent. So what are we actually building? A safer society… or a more controlled one? Because once systems exist that can: ✔ Monitor identity ✔ Track movement ✔ Store behaviour They don’t stay limited. They expand. There’s another approach most people ignore: Accountability before surveillance. Teach the rules. Make them clear. Ensure people understand consequences. Then enforce them equally.
