April 25th is National Telephone Day! For today, Howard letterpress printed an image from one of our telephone related cuts in our print shop exhibit at the Sacramento History Museum and it is from the Frank Cowsert Collection. This photo engraving is a union label for the Independent Telephone Workers Association in Courtland, California. This was printed with orange oil base ink using our Washington hand press, which was made in 1852.
