In a joint statement supported by the French players’ union UNFP_Officiel, captains from across the top two divisions in French women’s football are calling for a collective bargaining agreement to be signed before the start of next season.
After more than three years of negotiations, players say the lack of a formal framework continues to leave them exposed.
They highlight multiple examples in recent years and point to a widening gap with the men’s game.
“We are not asking for special treatment. We are asking for a fair framework.”
#FIFPRO stands alongside UNFP_Officiel and the players in calling for guaranteed employment rights for professional footballers.
