Blending our traditions has become one of my favourite parts of the holiday season. My husband grew up in Belgium celebrating Sinterklaas (St. Nicholas) on December 6 bringing gifts and treats to the children, and now we’re sharing that with our kids. We also celebrate the Christmas I grew up with here in Canada, with Santa and all his magic, and our daughter is starting to notice that not everyone does both. We’re teaching her that every family has its own traditions, and she’s lucky to carry pieces of both of ours. #sinterklaas #santa #christmas #familytradition #fyp
