Parent-managed accounts allow pre-teens to communicate with their family and close friends on WhatsApp with parental supervision.
Parents or guardians will help set up a parent-managed account for their child and manage privacy settings with built-in parental controls. By default, privacy settings on managed accounts are set to:
Only saved contacts can see their profile photo, about, and when they’re online.
Only saved contacts are able to message or call them.
Only parents can add them to groups. They cannot create groups of their own.
