From the outside, the store is unassuming, with the same plain gray facade as the neighboring buildings and a simple black sign. But once I step inside, I am met with an aesthetic interior that perfectly fits the Asian-inspired, Pinterest-popular, title of ‘boba shop’. My nostrils are immediately filled with a sickly sweet smell as I enter Te’Amo — a boba and dessert store off Metcalf Avenue.
