Alistair Littlewood’s workshop is unassuming, but the work that happens inside it is anything but.​ He works methodically, largely alone, and completely at ease. Raised among old engines, Littlewood has been rebuilding cars since before he could drive, combining traditional hands‑on skills with modern engineering thinking.​ That balance caught Bentley Mulliner’s attention. For its continuation Blower and Speed Six, he was commissioned to research and hand‑make the toolkits that would once have accompanied the cars.​ They had to be functional, technically accurate, and relevant to how the cars are actually used today.​ Using CAD to resolve century‑old designs before metal is cut, then machining parts on a 1960s lathe, Littlewood produced nearly 800 tools across two projects.​ Its restoration treated as a practical problem to be solved - informed by history but grounded firmly in how things work.​ #Bentley #BentleyStories
