Reconstruction of one of the largest tyrannosaurids — #Tarbosaurus bataar. The aim of this project was to achieve a realistic representation of the animal based on available scientific evidence. The skin was reconstructed as fine-grained, based on preserved integument impressions known from Tyrannosaurus rex. To account for interspecific variation, available research and phylogenetic relationships were analyzed, allowing the identification of potential evolutionary trends and the definition of characteristic integument patterns across selected theropod groups. Coloration is a key component of the reconstruction, reflecting the semi-arid environments inhabited by Tarbosaurus. Modern analogs such as monitor lizards and tegus were used as reference, resulting in a palette of warm, earthy tones suited for camouflage.
