1. Get deep sleep: A 2023 study from Berkeley neuroscientists found that deep sleep can prevent buildup of a cerebral protein associated with dementia-related memory loss. âThink of deep sleep almost like a life raft that keeps memory afloat,â says Berkeley psychology professor Matthew Walker.
2. Seek awe: Scientists at Berkeleyâs Greater Good Science Center (GGSC) have identified awe as being crucial to overall health. Experiences of awe can reduce the cytokine response in our immune system, which induces inflammation.
