Thought this little guy was dead when I first saw him. Got closer and he was still hanging on, just barely moving, back left leg not working right. Went inside and grabbed a bottle cap of water and dripped a little in front of him. Took a minute but he finally took a drink. Tried to get him on a stick to move him closer to some flowers but my hands were shaking the whole time. Got stung by a yellow jacket in my own bathroom yesterday so I am not exactly bee-brave this week. He wasn't having the stick either, kept sliding off. Set him back down and he just started limping across the deck. One leg barely working, tripping over himself, even rolled over at one point when he got caught in a gap. Kept stopping to wipe his little pollen-covered face off. Then he got to the edge of the deck and just took off. Flew away clean. Got some really close shots of him.
