My thoughts as a meteorologist, and I’m not trying to be a hater here. I follow Aaron and support his reporting. The distinction on what caused this missed forecast or what didn’t, is really important. People are already saying they feel like they can’t trust forecasts from the SPC or NWS this season and that is dangerous. The more uncertainty people feel about a forecast, the more likely it is that they disregard, delay life saving action or don’t pay attention to it. At this point their forecasts have been as accurate as they have always been. Sometimes we really just swing and miss.
