I had the amazing opportunity to visit The Reagan Ranch this week and can honestly say that it is one of the best experiences of my life! President & Mrs Reagan’s 1800 square foot home remains EXACTLY how they left it the last day they were ever there in 1998. All of his favorite books, their master bed consisting of 2 twin beds connected by a simple zip tie, a mini Liberty bell for their shower head, their clothing & cowboy boots in their closet, that phenomenal 80’s style kitchen complete with yellow appliances and laminate countertops (it’s quite obvious that the president’s favorite color was yellow!) beautiful gifts like the leather shutters with hand-carved designs made by the Sisco down the mountain in Santa Barbara, his saddles & riding boots in the barn, even the fence that HE built ALONE with very heavy, old telephone poles!
