Paris has held its first ever Modest Fashion Week, with designers showcasing everything from flowing floral dresses to boxy streetwear.
The event brought together nearly 30 designers, highlighting styles worn by many Muslim women and reflecting a growing global fashion market.
Some attendees felt holding the event in France felt significant, saying it pointed to a more inclusive culture taking shape.
Soutoura's founder and creative director Fatou Doucouré said exhibiting her collection in Paris made her feel that Muslim women who dress modestly could "take on any role in any society".
