Extremely Tragic night in Barrhaven 😨💔 A heartbreaking scene unfolded Thursday night in Barrhaven as Ottawa Police Service and paramedics responded to a home on Ashbourne Crescent. Police allege a man killed his mother and seriously injured his grandmother inside the residence. Emergency crews arrived around 9:45 p.m., where one woman was pronounced dead at the scene while another was transported to hospital in serious but stable condition. Investigators say the suspect later presented himself at a hospital in Hawkesbury and admitted to the incident. He is now in custody and expected to appear in court. Authorities have not released the identities of those involved as next of kin notifications are still ongoing.
