On Friday, April 17th, Chatham University announced the hiring of Alex Ochterbeck as head coach for the women’s ice hockey program. He is the tenth head coach in the program’s history that dates back to 1996. Ochterbeck, a native of Dallas, TX, graduated from Curry College in 2022 while being a four-year player for the Colonels. In 81 career games, he put together 25 goals & 41 assists for 66 points. He’d be named to the All-#CCC (now Conference of New England) Second Team his junior season and the Second Team in his sophomore season. In his short coaching career, Ochterbeck spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach with the Colonels’ women’s team, helping them win the #CNE title in the 2024-2025 season.
