Birth becomes her.
Not because it’s easy.
Not because it’s calm.
Not because it looks a certain way.
But because she allows herself to be fully in it.
To move when her body asks.
To breathe when the wave rises.
To soften instead of resist.
For me, birth has never just been physical. It’s been something I feel in my whole body. A place where I meet myself in the most raw, vulnerable, powerful way.
And this time, I knew it would be my last. Which makes it feel even more sacred now.
Because while I am so deeply proud of what my body has done and so grateful for these four experiences, there is a quiet grief sitting alongside that gratitude. Knowing I won’t get to step into this version of myself again.
But maybe that’s the thing about birth. It doesn’t just bring babies into the world. It reveals parts of you that you didn’t know were there. And those parts stay with you a lifetime.
Did birth change how you see yourself?
