Once a Shark, always a Shark. That’s the motto of Roosevelt High School’s synchronized swimming team in Des Moines, Iowa. For the last century, the Sharks have fostered a community for young women both in and out of the water. This year marks their 100th anniversary, making it the oldest club of its kind. The club is celebrating the special occasion by inviting alumni back to swim in the annual pageant — an entirely student-run event. See how the show came together with a behind-the-scenes look with IPR News Fellow Maura Curran.
