Ottawa has a new restaurant 🍣✨ akirabackottawa officially opened this weekend in the heart of centretownottawa Ottawa inside the beautiful fairmontlaurier and I’m so glad the city finally has a spot like this. The space is gorgeous, the atmosphere feels very big-city, and the food absolutely delivers. What I ordered: ✨ Matcha Margarita — never had anything like this before. So good. ✨ Crispy Octopus — I didn’t have high expectations but it surprised me in the best way. ✨ Perfect Storm Roll (shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, salmon belly aburi, chipotle sauce) — absolutely delicious. This set the bar high. ✨ California Roll — good, but the Perfect Storm made it hard to compete. Safe to say this is going to be one of those downtown spots.
