Country number 3 : Greece 🇬🇷 What if I try a meal from every country in the world without leaving Ottawa. Today’s country is Greece 🇬🇷 and I headed to @trofiottawa on Somerset st. The space was small and cozy but the ambiance was very modern and warm. I started out with some warm bread and olive oil. Starters: For starters I tried the calamari it was very tasty and just the right amount of crispy. Main: For my main I tried the chicken souvlaki brochette that is served with Mediterranean Salad, Rice, Tzatziki and Pita bread. I also got the lamb chops that was seasoned with a delicious Greek style marinade, crispy mashed garlic & herb baby potatoes, and seasonal vegetables. Dessert: The real real reason I will be back here is the dessert. My taste buds had a treat with this baklava and vanilla ice cream combo. I’ve never tasted anything like it before. The warm crispy baklava and the cold vanilla icecream balanced each other out so nicely. I’m smiling just thinking about it....
