An Iowa couple turned a frustrating night out into a moment of kindness that’s now going viral ❤️
Makenzie and Steven Schultz were celebrating their anniversary at a restaurant when they were met with painfully slow service from 20 minutes wait times for water, 40 minutes for an appetizer, and more than an hour for their main course.
But instead of getting angry, they noticed the real issue: the restaurant was severely understaffed, leaving their waiter juggling multiple tables and even the bar on his own.
The couple chose empathy over frustration. On a $66 bill, they left a $100 tip — along with a note that read: “We’ve both been in your shoes. Paying it forward.”
