Laura Dern is checking into #TheWhiteLotus for Season 4! The news comes after Helena Bonham Carter's unexpected departure just days into filming. Deadline reports that show creator Mike White has written a new character specifically for Dern. HBO previously said Bonham Carter's decision to leave came due to creative differences. The network explained in a statement, "With filming just underway on Season 4 of ‘The White Lotus,’ it had become apparent that the character which Mike White created for Helena Bonham Carter did not align once on set." Dern and White have worked together several times previously, including on the HBO series "Enlightened" and on the 2007 film "Year of the Dog."
