At least four people have been killed and more than 30 injured after a major overnight Russian attack across Ukraine.
A rescue operation was underway in the city of Dnipro, where emergency personnel worked to reach survivors and retrieve the bodies of those killed.
In a post on social media, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the country was bombarded “practically all night”, adding most of the targets were urban infrastructure.
“Every strike like this must remind our partners that the situation needs immediate and firm action,” Zelenskyy said.
Russia attacked Ukraine with more than 660 drones and missiles during the barrage, Ukraine’s air force said in a statement on social media.
It said it downed 580 drones and 30 missiles.
Russia's defense ministry said it had hit military-industrial and energy targets in Ukraine overnight.
