Norway will present a bill in parliament to ban children under-16 from using social media by the end of this year. ⁣ ⁣ They join several European countries considering such a ban, including the UK and Spain, after Australia implemented an under-16s social media ban last December.⁣ ⁣ In a statement, Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere said "We are introducing this legislation because we want a childhood where children get to be children".⁣ ⁣ "Play, friendships, and everyday life must not be taken over by algorithms and screens.
