A burial ceremony for the remains of 12 Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) martyrs was held at the CPV martyrs' cemetery in Shenyang, northeast China's Liaoning Province on Thursday.⁣ ⁣ More than 70 years after sacrificing their lives overseas, the soldiers have returned to their homeland to rest in peace. The ceremony began at 10:00 as honor guards carried the caskets into the cemetery.⁣ ⁣ Representatives of the martyrs' families and veteran units attended the service, along with nearly 500 participants, including officials, students and youth representatives.⁣ ⁣ The remains were repatriated from the Republic of Korea on Wednesday.
