this simple transition is not something that I came up with. tons of people use it. - find a 2 clips where the athlete is going behind something or someone. - if the clips have a similar motion, it helps a lot. - choose your in and out points of each clip. - go to the end of your first clip and try to scale the people blocking the athlete, or the athlete themselves to be the same size as the beginning of your second clip. - play the clips together. - adjust the position points needed to make a seamless cut. - add some sfx. it’s how people use it in their work that really elevates their videos to the next level. these types of transitions help lead the viewers eyes in the video where you want them to go. find ways to make the viewer feel like they’re not in a maze. editing isn’t always about who can make the flashiest, craziest edit. yes, there’s a time for it, but it can really take away from a story. finding ways to still have edits that don’t take away from the purpose of the v...
