A woman was arrested after a kidnapping attempt on Wednesday afternoon in Fresno. The Fresno Police Department says they were called out to a home on Andrews Avenue, near Shields and West Avenues at 4:38 p.m. for reports of a woman trying to take a child. When officers arrived, they found a woman identified as Tyiesha Davis, who witnesses say tried to kidnap an 8-year-old girl. Investigations showed that Davis grabbed the little girl by her hair and tried to pull her into a vehicle. The little girl fought back and was able to get away from Davis. She said the woman told her she was stolen at birth and that she was her real mom. She also said the woman knew her name.
