Maybe this is why so many millennials are choosing to travel the world. We watched the generation before us spend their entire lives working… saving travel for “retirement” and for many, that moment never came. I didn’t grow up with money. I come from a lower-middle-class family in India, and travel wasn’t part of my childhood, not even to nearby cities. But I made myself a promise: If I’m going to work hard, I’ll build a good career, earn well, and actually live my life. Today, I’m the first person in my family to take an international flight. The first in my bloodline to travel 13 countries with my own hard-earned money and I’m incredibly proud of that. This isn’t luxury travel.
