A few days ago, I had the opportunity to moderate a powerful conversation to support the launch of @sunotherapy book focused on trauma informed psychotherapy within BIPOC communities at @octopusbooks The conversation left me thinking about just how important it is to continue the awareness, promoting cultural practices, and having deep connection within community. It really grounded me in thinking about my purpose for showing up here in this space but also creating @the_lotus_movement with fellow dedicated community members. This is the power of community building and rising with common goals and interests to make a true difference AND break cycles. To that little girl who for a while was unsure of her cultural identity, felt lost in the crowd, hesitant to use her voice, and unsure what her impact would be - she has nothing to worry about out.
