Been sitting on this one, trying to find the right words to share JUST how overjoyed we are to welcome the newest blessing to our crew (and to think it’s already been a week). While it still feels surreal that we’re here knowing it was a journey - the waves of emotions and feeling overwhelmed adjusting to this new normal have also hit quite the high. And this is where we enter the 4th trimester, filled with love & joy but equally emotionally drained and recovering from the physical aspect of giving birth. The last few weeks of pregnancy kept us on edge. The csection took longer & didn’t go as planned. My recovery a lot slower. And while physically it has drained me, mentally & psychologically I have felt supported in so many ways. Cue in the point around having a strong village. The love & affection, and nourishment from my immediate family, to neighbours, to porch drop offs from friends. The essence of the village has been felt in every possible way.
