I might’ve broken doctor’s orders today but I couldn’t resist this beautiful weather coupled with the quick drive over to themanotickvillage to check out Watson’s Mill. It’s always a fun adventure for the kiddos & they learn something new each time.
Did you know: Built in 1860 along the shores of the Rideau River, Watson’s Mill remains active as a working water powered flour mill. Dickinson House, built in 1867, would become the home of all the Mill’s owners and remains open to the public as a heritage house museum.
I’m a sucker for soaking in the beauty of our local hidden gems + the learning the history.
Let me know if themanotickvillage is on your list of places to check out this summer!
