If you caught my stories yesterday, you would’ve seen that a much needed quick escape out of the city was in the works. And I have to say, the quickest most dreamiest 24 hour escape is exactly what Matt and I needed after hectic work weeks and even busier weekend schedules. And what better way to get out of the city than a stay at somewhere.inn in Calabogie. This completely revived 1970’s boutique motel overlooking the beautiful mountains and lakes of the Ottawa Valley left us feeling re-energized. The moment I walked into our room, I felt so calm with the fireplace on and no tv (yes, imagine that!). To be completely disconnected was the mental break my mind and body was craving. Thank you to the staff at somewhere.inn for the warmest hospitality - this spot is the perfect retreat not too far from Ottawa to reconnect, re-energize, and truthfully take a much needed break.
