These words hit me.
It’s true that no one prepares you for this role, that being a mother. Truthfully, no one can.
This journey of motherhood is one of growth and healing. With it comes unraveling and unpacking deep layers of self and being hit with the strongest waves of emotions. All while balancing self, you are now responsible for nurturing, pouring every ounce of love and energy, and creating spaces of joy, stimulation, comfort, and safety for littles.
It’s so hard to lose yourself in this journey, whether it’s early days or many years later. And this is why maternal mental health is of utmost importance to me and so many within this community.
