📣 DONE BY HUSBAND, INSPIRED BY WIFE DIY PROJECT 📣 I swear I’m finding a lot of blank canvases around the house and hubby is having a hard time keeping up. 🤭 In all seriousness, I wanted to find a way to cozy up our bedroom space by adding in this barn door to create some separation. The next step will be to merge the walk-in closets but hubby doesn’t know that yet. 🙃 We purchased a barn door kit from @homedepotcanada but to get us there we needed to: ✅ Build a bulk head - measured the space and framed it by using 2x4’s along with drywall ✅ We then mounted it, mudded it, and painted it ✅ Doubled the mounting boards to be sure there was enough clearance from the baseboards ✅ Stained the mounting board and the barn door ✅ Added in the door hardware VOILA!
