CW: Mention of sexual assault & domestic violence The month of April is recognized as a time to raise awareness but also show support to survivors of sexual assault. For me, this is important to do year-round. My philanthropy work started in this space of offering ways and raising awareness to rehabilitate women and young girls who were victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. This work started years ago in hopes of things changing - a future where women and young girls would not be victims to such inexcusable behaviours. But, the battle continues and we collectively need to get louder about ending violence and supporting victims.
