Today is a day to celebrate and also recognize the many challenges that mother’s have faced during this past year. Many have given up their careers, sacrificed passions, or mentally & physically hit lows that they would have never imagined. This very quick project gave me hope and I wish that it does the same for you. Mother’s in our community shared what motherhood meant to them in just one word. Not one word was repeated. Every single mother is navigating this journey with different emotions and feelings. Keep this list close by, and remember to honour yourself: you are enough. I also want to take a moment to acknowledge those who are yearning to be mothers, those who have lost their mothers, those mothers who have lost their children, those who struggle with their relationship with their mothers.
