We value and respect each other everyday, but today on rakhri, he gets a shout-out - I’ve never officially introduced my brother here, so let me do just that. To start, he’s my biggest fan (I’ve self-declared that) and at the same time my biggest critic. We disagree on many things but at the end of it all, I know he has my back just like I have his. Even today, he still calls me “Deed” (sis) and that in itself means a lot to me. So, you big bear, Happy Rakhri.
.
But today is also significant for my little warriors, my girls who celebrated their first rakhri. As a parent, my wish for the two of them is to always exemplify endless love and a bond so strong that reminds them that through anything, they will always have each other.
