OK. Seriously, what a thrill to have Sonia Jhas, soniajhas kick-off my show “A Moment With Meenakshi” on Rukus Avenue Radio, rukusavenueradio premiering this Monday, June 8th at 3 PM EST. . As much as I am on cloud nine, I’m also a bag of mixed emotions. My heart is heavy. And it aches. This truly isn’t about me. And, I know I will never understand but I am committed to doing more, learning/unlearning, and more so supporting the black community where I can. . I’ve felt love and appreciation from all of you, and I hope that continues as I start this new radio journey. BUT I also want to see this love and kindness spread to our black community members. Collectively, we need to SHOW UP. It’s been in my heart to do something but I want to hold others accountable as well to DO MORE (financially or not).
