A new study from the University of Michigan shows that patient-reported outcomes (PROs) strongly align with clinician assessments for motor symptoms and mental health β but donβt always match up with cognitive tests or wearable device data.
These findings highlight the power of PROs to provide valuable, complementary insights in research and care, while also pointing to the limits of relying on self-report alone for certain measures like cognition or sleep.
