🔍 Are Routine Repeat CT Scans Necessary After Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)? 🤔 This 1-year study takes a closer look at the practice of scheduled repeat CT scans for moderate-to-severe TBI cases. While routine scans are common, findings show that only 3.5% of patients required surgery after their repeat scan, raising questions about whether these scans are always necessary. Could individualized CT schedules based on patient condition improve outcomes and reduce unnecessary imaging? This research opens the door to more tailored approaches for TBI management.
