Making sure I stay my bestie forever. 🥰 I learned early on in life that it was better to go alone, than to stay home. Growing up I didn’t have friends or a partner that wanted to travel (and def not to the places I wanted to visit)… But I knew life would be way too boring and filled with regret if I let that stop me. So at 15, I took my first solo international trip. In hindsight, I see how it unlocked a kind of superpower in me. 🦸🏽‍♀️ I learned that no one was coming to save me, or make my dreams happen, or give my life meaning. That would be up to me. So I refused to put off the things I wanted to do, just because I didn’t have someone to do them with me. Solo travel has led me to so many interesting people/experiences, introduced me to lifelong friends, and catalyzed immeasurable personal growth. (And now I also have some epic travel friends too. 🥰) I know when I’m older I’ll look back and be so glad I didn’t hold myself back just because there wasn’t a partner by my sid...
