I love the read, I love the execution, and I especially love the grit displayed by jswayman1 here. Hockey is a game of time and space. As a goalie, your job is to limit that. Swayman gets a strong read of his support and attack lane of the player. Reading that it is a left-handed shot, he knows he has to hold the short side and if the player wants to cut to the front, he is going to have to do it in tight. Knowing full well that he is probably going to take some impact, he stays confidently up and aggressive and jams this opportunity to keep the Bruins close early on.
