As we count down to our first Inaugural Gator Nurses Day on May 11th, we’re looking back at the moments that helped shape our college. In 1982, the UF College of Nursing introduced its first #GatoRNursing midwifery program. Founded by Dr. Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Hilliard, the program was created to educate specialized practitioners focused on the care of mothers and infants.
