We honored Chaplain Scott Shubert at our home opener last Friday. Scott is a retired United States Navy Chaplain who faithfully served service members around the world. He was the last Navy Chaplain in the Iraq War at the evacuation point, ministering to more than 250,000 troops during a critical transition period. He also served aboard the USS Halyburton during the rescue of Captain Richard Phillips, later portrayed in the film Captain Phillips. Today, Chaplain Scott is the founder of the Walk-In Wedding Chapel in Jacksonville, where he helps couples begin their marriages with heartfelt ceremonies and God’s blessing. He is a devoted husband to his wife and partner, Liliana, and a proud father of four. His youngest son currently serves in the U.S. Navy at the Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay in Georgia. Also, we would like to wish a big thank you to their son Nate who is active in the US. Navy. #jacksonvillesharks #ifl #sharknation #salutetoservice
