✨ Chitti Mutyalu Tomato Pulao 🌾🍅
In a pressure cooker, heat a little ghee and oil.
Add cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, and a bay leaf and sauté until fragrant.
Add sliced onions and sauté until they turn soft and golden.
Mix in ginger-garlic paste and fry until the raw smell disappears.
Now add chopped tomatoes along with salt and turmeric.
Cook until the tomatoes turn soft and mushy.
Stir in red chilli powder and a spoon of yogurt, sauté for a minute.
Add chopped coriander and mint.
Pour in the washed chitti mutyalu rice along with water
(for every 1 cup rice, add 1½ cups water)
Add salt to taste and give everything a mix.
Close the cooker and cook on low heat for 12–15 minutes
— no whistle needed!
Fluff gently, serve hot with raita and boiled eggs.
