Gadd is a writer and actor of extraordinary talent. When NME meets him in a private room at a Soho hotel, though, he's less keen to chat about new series #HalfMan and more interested in talking music. “I need to show you something,” he says. Gadd has been scouring eBay for vintage covers of NME released around the time of huge events in musical history; there’s the deaths of John Lennon and Kurt Cobain sat next to the famous Blur vs Oasis cover of August 1995.
