A flashback scene shows Ali (Song) and Isla (Kate Hudson) in college watching the child star in 'My Girl' and sobbing during a funeral scene for his character, Thomas J., who dies after being swarmed by bees. Adult Culkin also pops up in a quick cameo this season, just like he did in season 1, playing a fan with courtside seats for the show's fictional basketball team, the L.A. Waves.
